MIX is a five-day camp event specifically designed for students going into the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades that will engage middle school students through tactile, interactive, and fun activities coupled with Bible-based teaching and small group interaction. MIX will be taking place at Country Lake Christian Retreat during the month of June.



Middle School Ministry is excited to announce a partnership with Christ In Youth for our 2017 summer camp. This is the same ministry that leads the Believe conference we attend each winter. CIY MIX is produced by Christ In Youth (CIY), an organization based out of Joplin, Missouri, that works tirelessly to help students realize the call of Christ in their lives to become Kingdom Workers. A $100 deposit is due at time of registration. Final payments are due May 17. If you are in need of financial assistance, please click here. Registration will begin February 4, and will close on May 14 or when full.

1. Cost

The total trip cost for MIX is $299; only a $100 non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration.

We understand the cost of MIX is not realistic for everyone. If you need assistance funding this event, we have financial assistance available to offset the cost. Please click here if you are in need of financial assistance.

2. What do sleeping arrangements look like?
  • Dorms are gender-specific.
  • Each dorm will be supervised by our small group leaders.
  • Adults and students do not share beds.
  • Dorms are comprised of bunk beds.
3. What kind of supervision will there be?
Each week of MIX we will have small group leaders with a ratio of 1 leader for every 8 students.
4. Will my student ever be off by himself/herself?
The MIX schedule keeps students around their small groups and friends all day long. Our leaders are also always around to keep students connected as much as possible.
5. How do you keep track of every student?
Everyone is a part of a small group with one or more leader(s). Leaders will be responsible for guiding and taking care of 8-12 students through the week of MIX.
6. What does the registration cost cover?
The registration cost includes all accommodations, meals, snack shack, travel, and conference fee. However, conference merchandise, extra snacks, and Adventure Zone activities (paintball, archery, and zipline) are considered additional costs.
7. Can I make changes or add Adventure Zone activities to my student’s registration?
Adventure Zone activities are an optional part of online registration. They do cost extra and must be added prior to check-in on the day of departure. If you forgot to add one of those options but would like to, please email or call your campus contact.
8. What type of transportation do you use?
We use school buses with professional drivers.
9. How do you determine dorm & bunk mate assignments?
The information collected as part of the registration process will be used to help determine bunk and dorm assignments. This may include friend requests, school, and small group information. Our goal is for every student to bunk with a friend. If you need to make a change to your student’s bunk mate request, you can email your campus contact (listed at the bottom of the page) and see if they can make an adjustment. Our ability to make changes will depend on where we are in the process of dorm assignments.
10. How will I receive communication once my student is registered?
Our primary source of communication will come via e-mail. You will receive a confirmation e-mail once your student has successfully registered for MIX.
11. Where is the trip departing from?
We will be departing from the Southeast campus you registered with. More details on how departure works will be available once registration is complete.
12. Can my student leave and come back, arrive late, or leave early from MIX during the week?
We are aware that families have prior engagements and sometimes a student needs to arrive late or leave early from MIX. For safety and security reasons we have cutoff times set in place for this. If any student needs to arrive late, he or she must arrive before midnight on the first night. If a student needs to leave early, the earliest departure time will be after the last session of the week. All late arrivals and early departures must be picked up or dropped off at the Country Lake office on the lodge side of camp so that MIX leaders can be aware when a student arrives or leaves. Students will not be permitted to leave and return mid-week for any reason. If you have any questions concerning this please speak with your campus contact.
13. How will I get my luggage tag?
Luggage tags will be given at check-in at the campus you registered with the first day of MIX. It will not be mailed.
14. What grades will be attending my week of MIX?
MIX will be comprised of incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. We as a middle school staff are extremely excited about the opportunity to have our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders all attending the same week of MIX together. We feel that this longly anticipated change will help unify our ministry and be a great reflection of our normal weekend programs.
